Monday Blues
I came home last night from church to this…

Most of my geeky friends will recognize what this is right away, but some of you will probably need a little help. That’s my laptop screen… ugh!
On Sunday afternoon, instead of taking my usual nap (Sundays wear me out — LOL!), I decided to watch some TV shows on my Macbook Pro. When I got up and left for church, I left the laptop half-closed on my bed with the earbuds still plugged in and resting on the keypad. When I went to pick it up after church, it was as if someone had sat on it and / or forcefully shut the laptop screen shut with the earbuds still on the keypad. When I opened it up, I could tell right away that the screen was cracked in several places. None of the girls were in the bedroom to our knowledge (even the little ones don’t usually go in unless we are in there) so our only guess is that Suki must have jumped on it somehow. Who knows how it happened… doesn’t matter much as the damage has already been done.
Mom and Dad, who bought me this laptop as a gift for Christmas in 2006, are being way too kind and paying for the repair. I am so grateful, as most of you probably know, I am pretty inseparable from my laptop and the Internet. This is probably the nicest gift I have ever received and I feel sick to my stomach that it happened. I will definitely be more careful with where I leave it unattended in the future.
